Full course description

The Structured Literacy and Dyslexia for Biliteracy course is designed to support teachers in using Structured Literacy with English Learners. Guidance on supporting English Learners in the subskills of reading and oral language development is included. The NMPED Biliteracy Guidance Framework will be reviewed with instructional strategies to support effective implementation.  This course is supplemental to the Structured Literacy and Dyslexia 101 course. The initial Structured Literacy course and this course are now combined into Structured Literacy and Dyslexia for Diverse Learners 2.0. Educators that completed Structured Literacy and Dyslexia 101 in Canvas or the course in Mr. Owl may want to complete this course to learn more about teaching diverse learners.
